Hazel's men in her life really love to golf, and the women in her life really love to socialize & throw parties, so what better way to honor her than a good old fashion golf party?! Yes, that's right, not a golf outing...but a golf party. We had such an incredible time at our 1st Annual Hazel Joy Golf Outing.
Bunker Hill told us while we were planning this outing (party) that they never sell out...well we sold it out! It really just goes to show how many people love Hazel and want to show their support to our family. It truly was an incredible day...the weather was gorgeous, the course looked immaculate, the participants were excited, the alcohol was flowing, the food was delicious, and the prizes were abundant!
We ended up raising just shy of $16,000! This was just absolutely incredible and completely blew away all of our expectations. The donations we raised went straight to Lifebanc. Lifebanc transforms death into life. Serving as Northeast Ohio’s only nonprofit organ and tissue recovery organization, Lifebanc began more than 35 years ago as one of the original seven independent organ procurement organizations in the United States. Lifebanc is a leader in the field and is a highly respected recovery organization nationally and regionally.
Hazel was an organ donor so this organization is very near and dear to our heart and will continue to be for many years ahead.
